Just a Quick Note
The e-newsletter of the Twmbarlwm Society
21st October 2020
Hello Folks
Oh well the news isn’t getting any better and we are all going into official Lockdown again.
For the past couple of months we have continued with our socially distanced, monthly litter picks but we feel that with the announcement of the new national lockdown to start on Friday, we feel it would be wiser not to hold our organised litter pick this coming weekend.
So please note: the Litter Pick on Sunday 25th October is CANCELLED
I know it’s relatively easy to socially distance for the Litter pick but we are unable to offer people a lift up the mountain so it means our numbers are seriously depleted. We managed to arrange the last couple of litter picks when the restrictions were eased a little, and they were sorely needed, there’s a story and some photos of them on our website – have a look here.
However, if any of you do venture up Twmbarlwm for their allowable exercise, please think about taking a rubbish bag with you to collect any litter on your walk – and if you leave the filled bags in the corner of the car park, make sure to let us know so that we can inform the council to collect it.
We’ll let you know in due course whether the November Litter Pick will go ahead – again it will depend on the official guidelines that will be in place – let’s hope it’ll be better news next month.
AGM
Please note: The CTS Annual General Meeting was also due to take place on 9th November – but again due to Covid restrictions we will not be allowed to meet – The Trustees are considering how best to handle this situation and will let you know when the meeting is re-scheduled.
Please be sensible and follow the government’s advice during this pandemic emergency – keep safe and healthy and help us all protect the NHS
