Litter Pick – May 2022
Thank goodness for this lovely bunch of people – another great job done in tidying up the Twmp.
When we arrived there was the remnants of a burnt out car – the car itself had been removed several days ago, but an unsightly pile of melted metal, burnt tyres etc. remained. Worst of all was the fact that the fire had done serious damage to the small copse of beech trees that the society planted some 12 years ago – we will have to wait and see what we can do to help them out.
Anyway some of our group set about clearing up the mess – while others did the usual litter picking around the wider area.
We also strimmed all the nettles etc. away for the stone cairn in order to tidy up the area in preparation for the Queen’s Jubilee Beacon event this coming Thursday.
The fifteen or so volunteers who turned up collected about 18 bags of rubbish and left them for CCBC to collect on Monday morning which they did extremely promptly for us – well done to them.
Well done to everybody involved – Twmbarlwm thanks you sincerely for all your hard work.
